Xbox LIVE Arcade – Release roundup

Here’s a quick summary of the upcoming releases on Xbox LIVE arcade. After months and months of zero releases Microsoft are now attempting to release 1 new game every Wednesday for the forseeable future.

I’m not one to complain, but giving us crap like Frogger (400 points or $5) when there are so many classic arcade games out there dying for a new lease of life, and a new audience, on live arcade is to my mind criminal!

Where are Bomberman, R-Type, Rampage, Black Tiger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (a great 4-player game!) and Golden Axe, Mr Microsoft? Eh? Let them see the light! Please….(I’m sure Tikipod has a few more to add to the list)

Live Arcade release dates:
Out now – Frogger (Really don’t bother, trust me – see screenshot below!)
19th July – NinjaBee’s Cloning Clyde
26th July – Namco’s Galaga
2nd August – Capcom and Sensory Sweep’s Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting
9th August – Namco’s Pac-Man
23rd Aug – Texas Hold’em poker (mmm, release date has changed to TBD again. Will this game ever be released?)
