#LeStudio52: Gaming Night in London – 1st April 2011

Our friends over at #LeStudio52 are holding a gaming night in their Shoreditch lair on Friday 1st April 2011. The event kicks off at 6pm and will run until ~11pm. Don’t worry if you’re rubbish at games, you won’t be the only one. I do a great impersonation of a walking target whilst playing first person shooters. I’m completely rubbish at them. Still, it won’t stop me having a bash on Call Of Duty: Black Ops during the event.

There will be 2 main competitions running throughout the night involving Super Street Fighter IV and Call of Duty: Black Ops. There will be prizes for the best player on each game. You can take part if you wish or just play the other games on show. It’s up to you.

There will be 2 Xbox 360s and 1 PlayStation 3 to play on. All the games will be projected onto the studio walls for that big screen gaming experience. You are more than welcome to bring your Xbox Live profile on a USB stick. There will be ample controllers for the 4-player games like Blur, but if you want to bring your own then go ahead. You can also bring along your own games if you fancy seeing what they look like on the big screen.

You’re welcome to bring your favourite gaming snacks and drinks to the event as well. The studio does have a working kitchen and bathroom. If you can’t make it to the event then you can still join in as #LeStudio52 are planning on a few online multiplayer sessions during the evening. Getting to and from the event couldn’t be easier. Located in Shoreditch, the studio is a short walking distance from several underground and overground stations:

• Shoreditch Hight Street (Overground) ~3 mins walk
• Liverpool Street Station (Underground and Overground) ~10 mins walk
• Old Street Station (Underground) ~10 mins walk
