Guild Wars snowman NCsoft have announced that Q2 2006 will see the release of a new chapter in the Guild Wars franchise:

“It offers players an incredible gameplay experience with many new choices, including new regions, professions, skills, missions, and monsters, along with expanded options for both Cooperative and Player-versus-Player (PvP) play, and enhanced features for guilds.”

ArenaNet is opening its servers to everyone for the Guild Wars: Factions Global Free-for-All PvP weekend which takes place from the 20th – 22nd Jan. Existing Guild Wars players and even those who don’t have a Guild Wars account can all access the new content. Check out www.guildwars.com for free access keys from Friday, 13th Jan.

Nick started gaming in the early 1980s on Nintendo's Game & Watch handhelds before spending a serious amount of time playing Elite on the BBC Micro. Its been downhill since then via ownership of the Atari ST, Amiga, A500 and A1200, PC Engine GT, PS1, PC, PS2, Gameboy Advance, SP and DS, PSP, Wii, PS3, PS Vita, A1200 (again) and PS4 Pro. He likes shoot-em-ups and role-playing games – citing Dungeon Master as “the greatest game ever made” – driving games, the odd platformer and Zelda games.
