Amiga Classics – Another World
- Updated: 27th Feb, 2010
Cinematic, innovative, unusual, bloody annoying and repetitive are all words that I would use to describe Another World. There really was nothing like it when it was originally released in 1991. It looked different to other games due to its graphics being entirely composed of polygons rather than sprites. It was a big change for the time, and something it should be congratulated for.
You can watch the entire game being played from the talented people at Recorded Amiga games. After watching this I probably only made it half way through the game. I always died at the falling rocks sequence, and could never be arsed to play it over and over again in order to learn the rock patterns. This game did have a great intro sequence and fantastic music and sound effects too.
