Murdered: Soul Suspect – Building A Ghost Story
- Updated: 19th Mar, 2014
Murdered: Soul Suspect was on show at BAFTA’s Inside Games showcase last week. I spoke to writer Doug Van Horne and media director Matt Brunner about how they build the narrative for the player.
It’s a detective noir game that has you solving your own murder. Protagonist Ronan O’Connor exists in ghostly form, invisibly walking the streets of Salem, Massachusetts. He’s still a detective but with a new set of skills. Taking inspiration from movies like David Fincher’s Seven, the team at Airtight Games are weaving a long, harsh mystery across this single case.
Murdered: Soul Suspect will be out in June 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
