Microsoft Flight – Lastest Screenshots
- Updated: 28th May, 2011
The Microsoft Flight team have released another batch of screenshots from their brand new flight simulator game. The last flight simulator released by Microsoft was Flight Simulator X way back in 2006. Then in 2009 Microsoft disbanded the flight simulator development team (Aces Game Studio), only to announce in Aug 2010 there there was going to be a new flight simulator game called Flight. This game has been a long time coming.
At the moment there is very little information available about the game. It has been announced that Flight it will only be compatible with PCs running Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server. So all you flight sim fans running Windows XP will be missing out. Also Microsoft have previously said that this version of flight simulator will appeal to both flight enthusiasts and novices.
Personally, I’m hoping that Flight includes at least:
- More accurate scenery and airport layouts
- A more usable virtual cockpit
- Improved Air Traffic Control (ATC) to make it relevant for countries outside the US
- Piper PA-28 Cherokee family of aircraft
Hopefully, I will be able to find out more at E3 2011, although Microsoft have yet to confirm if Flight will be at the show.
So here are the latest screenshots available on the Microsoft Flight website:
Microsoft Flight does not have a release date at the moment.
