Wii announcement coming this Friday. Also Charles Martinet.

Don’t forget that Nintendo are making their official announcement about the European Wii release this Friday 15th September 06. The details will be released around 1:30pm. Hopefully MCV’s report saying the week of 24th November wasn’t too far off.

For some reason GAME has decided it would be a good idea to secure Charles Martinet at their Oxford Street shop that afternoon. He’s been the voice of Mario since Mario Teaches Typing in 1995, according to my highly involved research at IMDB. I am not joking about the blinding.)

He’ll be signing postcards between 12pm and 4pm at GAME’s Oxford Street shop – 100 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1LL (020 7637 7911) More importantly for us non-autograph-hunters:

Copies of the New Super Mario Bros. game will be given away to the first 18 customers to get Mario’s signature whilst, the next 10 customers will receive a Mario T-Shirt.
